Samantha graduated from Portsmouth University in 2005 with a degree in Marine Biology. She worked temporarily for an environmental monitoring unit before embarking on a round the world trip. She worked as a dive master in Thailand and then trained as a dive instructor in Cairns. She returned to Thailand to work as an instructor for nearly a year and then worked a dive season in Spain before returning to the smog. She worked for a London-based magazine for fourteen months before returning to where she belongs in the sea!
