Director for The Carmabi Foundation, Curacao

The Carmabi Foundation on Curacao (Netherlands Antilles) seeks a new director starting February 1st 2010 to coordinate the daily operations of the foundation and coordinate approximately 30 employees. Since 1955 Carmabi is actively involved in terrestrial and marine nature management, education and ecological research.   

Selection criteria: Applicants must:
* develop strategies to execute the foundation's mission statement
* oversee the daily operations
* maintain and expand local, regional and international networks/ collaborations
* have affinity with nature management and research
* at least 3yrs of management experience in a similar organisation
* have a succesfull track record of grant writing
* speak Dutch and English and preferably Papiamentu and Spanish as well.
* have at least 3yrs of financial mangement experience
* have demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills

Commencing salary will be in accordance with qualifications and experience. Benefits include medical insurance and retirement packages.
